It is not uncommon for babies to experience newborn baby acne. It is something that is a natural occurrence in a lot of babies. Although this is true, many mothers worry about there little ones and want to know what they can do to help. In most cases there is no need to worry.
Newborn baby acne shows up either at birth or a few weeks after. Most of the time this acne shows up on the forehead, cheeks, chin or back. It is usually in the form of small whiteheads, pustules, or blackheads. The causes of newborn baby acne are not clear. Newborn baby acne can be the result of hormonal changes. Babies receive hormones from their mother before they are born and from breast milk. Hormones are passed to babies through the mother's placenta. They are said to help aid in the newborn's survival after birth.
