Sever Baby Acne

In order to help with newborn baby acne, it is ok to wash the baby's face with a mild soap once a day. Avoid all oils and creams. This could increase grease production. Avoid any over the counter forms of acne treatment when it comes to newborn baby acne. This is excessively harsh for the skin of a newborn.

Newborn bay acne can occur and/or be irritated when a baby sweats, or has skin contact with fabric and saliva. In most cases, there is nothing to worry about when it comes to newborn baby acne. There are rare occasions where the baby's acne can be more severe. This is when you want to consult your pediatrician. They may advise medications for newborn baby acne. Never use anything unless advised by your baby's pediatrician.

Hormone changes can lead to baby acne

Newborn baby acne can form due to the increased oil gland activity experienced with hormone changes. Other factors may play a role in newborn baby acne. If the mother of a newborn has taken certain medications while pregnant or nursing, this can provoke newborn baby acne as well.

There is no need to worry if you notice that your infant has newborn baby acne. It usually clears up on its own, and is very mild. There is no need to seek medical treatment. Any harsh medications can irritate newborn baby acne. A parent who has newborn experiencing acne should not wash the skin too much. Newborn baby acne is not caused from dirt. Keep in mind that any topical agent can further irritate a newborn's delicate skin.

Newborn Baby Acne

It is not uncommon for babies to experience newborn baby acne. It is something that is a natural occurrence in a lot of babies. Although this is true, many mothers worry about there little ones and want to know what they can do to help. In most cases there is no need to worry.

Newborn baby acne shows up either at birth or a few weeks after. Most of the time this acne shows up on the forehead, cheeks, chin or back. It is usually in the form of small whiteheads, pustules, or blackheads. The causes of newborn baby acne are not clear. Newborn baby acne can be the result of hormonal changes. Babies receive hormones from their mother before they are born and from breast milk. Hormones are passed to babies through the mother's placenta. They are said to help aid in the newborn's survival after birth.
